Erin's 1950 Pink Schwinn Hornet

This 1950 Schwinn Fat Tire Women"s Cruiser was purchased by my son Alan and earmarked for restoration to replace a bike sold by CBS that belonged to Alana-the wife of the shop owner. The frame, fork and chainguard were original to the bike when purchased; all non-Schwinn parts such as rims, pedals, seat and handlebars were removed and replaced with period correct Schwinn parts and the fenders and S-2 rims shown in the "before" photos. All parts were powder coated before re-assembled as the stunning pink and white heavy-duty Schwinn below. The bike was ultimately deemed "too heavy" by Alana and subsequently sold by CBS the week it was completed. We hope Erin is happy with her boss vintage Schwinn lovingly resurrected by CBS!
